Do you wish to notify a co-worker about an important deadline or to encourage them to join a discussion? In activeCollab, you can do that by using Reminders.
There are two kinds of reminders in activeCollab:
- Nudges - Instant reminders that send an email notification to a specific user or a group of users.
- Reminders - Scheduled notifications sent on a specific date and time to a single user or a group of users.
Reminders are available for Milestones, Tasks, Discussions, Files, Notebooks and Notebook Pages. Open Options and click Nudge or Set a Reminder, then enter the reminder details:
As you can see, each Reminder or Nudge allows you to include a personalized Comment, where you can provide additional information, or explain why you are sending the reminder.
Reminders require Scheduled Tasks to be set up and triggered periodically. If you have not configured Scheduled Tasks correctly, your reminder may not be sent on time.
